For my birthday we choose to go to Coco's for dinner, we usually come here for our wedding anniversary but hadn't in a few years, then I saw the menu... Pistachio Creme Brulee!
I'm not usually a fan of Pistachio, but this Creme Brulee was sweet enough to cancel out the bitterness of this nut.
We sat in the outside area overlooking the water and the city views while we ate our meal and then finished off with this delectable dessert. To the right was a biscotti biscuit and some blood orange compote. Again I didn't eat these with the Creme Brulee, I'm not sure I'd rush out to find a Pistachio one again but it was worth trying that's for sure!

Globe Restaurant, Hilton Hotel, Perth, Western Australia
For our wedding anniversary my husband and I went to Globe (yes because they served Creme Brulee) - we had a few choices but settled on this due to the dessert menu ;).
The food at this restaurant has always been superbly done and the service here is just as remarkable. On their dessert menu was a delicious Chocolate Creme Brulee - the presentation of this dessert was fantastic
My husband had taken a bit of the biscuit to the right already before I took the photo! The red dots were raspberry sauce and added a wonderful flavour to the Creme Brulee. I found this one fairly heavy due to the chocolate but would never say no to having it again!

Cafe at the Hyatt, Perth, Western Australia
I took a friend to this Buffet in March 2012 because she hadn't been before, the Buffets in Perth at the major hotels have all had renovations and now have upmarket food available.
What I found slightly funny was on this night the Cafe at the Hyatt had a giant Creme Brulee, which was fantastic to look at in its big big dish but to get it out of that big dish and into your own dish didn't exactly turn out very well.
Yup it comes out on your plate like a bit pile of mush.. 0/10 for presentation, the taste was pretty low as well, the custard felt like it needed some more sugar in it, it was quite bland.

Fraser's Kings Park, Perth, Western Australia
On Valentine's Day 2012 Fraser's were holding a new function upstairs in the State Room - this was a Buffet and I picked it over the restaurant because yup... they served Creme Brulee when the restaurant didn't.
My husband doesn't like Creme Brulee so I got to have his share too :) A wonderful Valentine's Day gift!
These were Honey Saffron Creme Brulees - very very sweet! But they tasted so fresh and the egg custard was what you would expect from an upmarket venue such as Frasers.
The consistency of the custard was solid and make this a very enjoyable dessert.

Il Fornaio, Santa Monica, California, USA
As the sun goes down over the Santa Monica boulevard - Il Fornaio was our last supper before we had to head to the airport to go home. It was packed! The Pier had a Cirque Du Soleil show running and it must have just been about to start because it was impossible to walk around this place - so many people! Cars were everywhere and none were moving from the traffic that encased this area.
Watching the sun set from our table was a beautiful finish to our wonderful trip to the US, and to top it off, this Italian restaurant's pasta was the best I've ever had (apart from my nannas of course..) but surprisingly they also served Creme Brulee!
I give points for presentation of this dessert but the taste was something close to what I experienced in Vegas at the Cafe Ile St Louis. The egg tasted like it was not fresh but powdered (if that's even possible but hey we're in America, they process nearly everything!)
This Italian restaurant should stick to Italian desserts, we dined here in January 2012.

Sofitel In Room Service, Beverley Hills, California, USA
We got the Sofitel in a 'Secret Hotel' deal and we were very surprised, it was such a beautiful hotel and the rooms were quite big considering we're in the middle of LA. Loved every minute of being there, we were there for a couple of nights and went off to Universal - but not before I got to have a look at their in room menu and found Creme Brulee on it!
They were offering 3 mini Creme Brulees of 3 flavours - the first to the left was Pistachio, then Chocolate and Vanilla, they were divine! The Chocolate one was very chocolatey and heavy while the Vanilla and Pistachio were quite light, the Pistachio one was very nutty you could definitely taste it in there! Considering it was a French themed hotel you could hope they hit the nail on the head with this one, and they did.

The Yard House, Long Beach, California, USA
Long Beach is so beautiful! We decided to come here for the day to check it out while the wonderful California sun was out during their winter, a nice warm 24 I think it was that day. Bit like Perth weather really.
We walked into this pub and my husband almost died and went to heaven, they had 180 different beers on tap..
But more importantly, they had a beautiful 'Mini' Vanilla Creme Brulee with a bit of a twist..
In the middle of this Creme Brulee at the bottom was a small piece of chocolate which they had melted to the bottom of the ramekin, then they put banana on the top and then sugared it and 'bruleed' it. The different flavours were a welcome change to the almost constant plain vanilla bean that was on offer. This Creme Brulee was a little too sweet due to the banana but definitely something you shouldn't miss if you can help it.
